We’re looking for a skilled back-end developer to join our team. This person should be comfortable working with a team environment in the design and development of mission-oriented platform. Experience with Python, Javascript, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git, ElasticSearch is helpful to succeed quickly in this role. The full-stack developer will have an immediate effect on our business success as well as the success of our clients.
Objectives of this role
- Communicate regularly with supervisor and other developers regarding progress on project roadmap
- Complete assigned tasks according to the instructions of a superior and project manager
- Create and maintain workflows with teams to provide visibility and stability to the core system
- Produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed
Responsibilities
- Design backend dataflow, resolve issues, and analyze system bottlenecks
- Design system and integrate APIs to support mobile and desktop clients
- Manage and optimize scalable systems and databases in the cloud and local site
- Optimize backend scripts and web applications for performance and scalability
Pay is commensurate to proven experience.
Please note that applicants must hold a legal work visa in Taiwan, or be citizens of Taiwan ROC, Canada, or the United States.
Required skills and qualifications
Experience in writing reliable frontend and backend applications.
Experience in Python and Javascript.
Experience in SQL/NoSQL Database.
Experience in Linux operating system.
Conversational in English.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in designing RESTful APIs
Experience with AWS EC2 and S3 storage is a plus
Experience with React or Angular is a plus
