The Challenge
We're building the next generation of AI art generation, akin to Midjourney or Civit.ai. We need a skilled frontend developer to hit the ground running, building beautiful, high-performance interfaces that can handle thousands of concurrent users. This is a chance to shape a product from the ground up and make a significant impact in a rapidly growing field.
Who You Are
We seek a team player who are:
- Technical Virtuoso: You're a JavaScript/TypeScript expert with a deep understanding of modern web development. You know ReactJS and NodeJS inside and out.
- Startup Savvy: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing the need for rapid iteration with the discipline of building for scale.
- Design-Minded: You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting pixel-perfect user experiences that seamlessly integrate with our backend AI magic.
- Resourceful Problem Solver: You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and find creative solutions, especially when building new features from scratch.
- Excellent Communicator: You're comfortable working in a bilingual (English/Japanese) environment, collaborating with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers across time zones.
- Build Stunning Frontends: Develop professional-grade, pixel-perfect user-facing components of our image generation platform, from intuitive interfaces to real-time feedback mechanisms.
- Prototype and Iterate: Quickly translate ideas into functional prototypes to validate concepts and gain stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate Closely: Work closely with backend engineers and UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Suggest and implement improvements to our frontend development processes, especially for remote collaboration.
- Optimize for Performance: Ensure our application is lightning-fast and scalable to handle a growing user base.
What You'll Do
Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years of professional web development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS
- Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend best practices
- Experience building and maintaining production-level web applications
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, bilingual team
- Experience with NextJS, Vercel, AWS (or similar cloud services)
- Familiarity with relational and nonrelational databases
- Experience working in the gaming industry
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese
