Quality Assurance Engineer - AI

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Test Engineer to join our team and lead the qualification and validation of AI-driven solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of AI applications and platforms by designing and executing comprehensive test plans. You will collaborate closely with development, data science, and product teams to drive quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
● Develop and Execute Test Plans – Design, implement, and execute test plans to validate AI models, algorithms, and solution pipelines, ensuring alignment with product requirements.
● Automation and Manual Testing – Perform manual testing and develop automated test scripts to verify AI models’ accuracy, scalability, and performance.
● Error Analysis – Diagnose errors in machine learning systems from input data to model output, prioritize error reduction strategies, and analyse complex ML scenarios, including mismatched datasets and hyperparameter comparisons.
● Performance and Stress Testing – Conduct stress and load testing of AI solutions to identify potential weaknesses under different conditions.
● Collaborate with Teams – Work closely with data scientists, developers, and product managers to identify testing needs, set quality standards, and drive improvements.
● Bug Tracking and Reporting – Identify, document, and track bugs or inconsistencies, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
● Continuous Improvement – Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance testing methodologies and increase efficiency in AI solution validation.
● Maintain Documentation – Create detailed test cases, reports, and documentation to maintain transparency and provide insights into testing outcomes.
Required Qualifications
● Experience: 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing AI, machine learning, or data-driven solutions.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or other relevant programming languages for test automation.
● Tools: Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and AI testing frameworks.
● AI/ML Knowledge – Demonstrate familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle, data pipelines, and model evaluation processes, along with an understanding of core ML concepts such as train/test/validation datasets and various learning methods (supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and reinforcement learning).
● Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to detect issues and implement solutions.
● Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams in an agile environment.
● Attention to Detail: Ability to catch subtle discrepancies and ensure AI solutions perform as intended.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with designing, executing, and analysing benchmark tests for AI/ML models.
● Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI deployment and testing.
● Knowledge of MLOps practices and experience in AI/ML testing automation.
● Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing.
● Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into development workflows.
● Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
