Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test, API Protection
About the Role
As a member of the API Protection Team you will work cross-functionally to support our state-of-the-art cloud platform and products. Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Contribute to building a flexible and scalable automation solution
- Develop and automate release engineering and security review processes.
- Participate in the on-call (only during business hours) rotation to triage production issues.
- Identify and communicate risks about our releases.
- Own the release and be a customer advocate.
- Be able to own and make quality decisions for the solution.
- Help create and implement quality processes and requirements
- Develop expertise in our cloud security solutions, and use that expertise and your experience to help design and qualify the solution as a whole
- Work closely with the development and design team to help create an amazing user experience
Qualifications/Requirements
- 5+ years of experience including 2+ years of SDET experience with cloud environments
- Strong Python, JavaScript, or equivalent scripting programming language skills (Go is a plus)
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Drone, Hudson, or any other CI system.
- Experience testing distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience building automation frameworks
- Experience with in-memory databases like Redis
- Bonus points for experience with REST API
Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
