Job Description:
As the Technical Engineering Manager at CreatorDB, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust solutions that meet the needs of our platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and operations to drive the technical roadmap and ensure successful execution of projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for building innovative products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and technical expertise to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
2. Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the platform in alignment with business goals and objectives.
3. Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical specifications and guide the team in implementing solutions that meet user needs.
4. Ensure the successful delivery of projects by effectively managing resources, timelines, and priorities to meet deadlines and deliverables.
5. Drive innovation and technical excellence by staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and applying them to improve our platform.
6. Establish and maintain engineering processes, standards, and practices to ensure code quality, scalability, and reliability.
7. Conduct regular code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
9. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork within the engineering team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
10. Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members, and contribute to building a diverse and talented engineering team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in software engineering, with a strong background in building scalable web applications and services.
- Experience (3 years) in a technical leadership role, managing and leading teams of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Typescript or Golang and experience with relevant frameworks and technologies.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- A passion for technology and a drive for continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data-driven applications, machine learning, or big data technologies.
- Familiarity with GCP, Firebase, Typescript, SQL, NoSQL
- Prior experience working with open source and a will to build products with the community
- Experience in the social media or influencer marketing industry
