We are seeking a driven and analytical early-stage Strategic Investment Analyst to join our team focused on investment in the HTC global ecosystem and related startups. In this role, you will play a critical part in conducting due diligence and performing valuation analysis to support strategic investment decisions and help grow our portfolio of promising global technology startups including but not limited to those in VR/AR, AI, Blockchain, Connected Devices, and 5G networking. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment targets, including assessing the strength of the founding team, evaluating the market opportunity, analyzing the competitive landscape, and reviewing the business model and technology differentiation. 2. Financial Analysis: Develop financial models to evaluate the investment potential of early-stage startups, including revenue projections, cost structures, and capital requirements. Perform valuation analysis using appropriate methodologies. 3. Market Research: Stay informed about emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and market dynamics within the startup ecosystem. Conduct research on specific sectors, market segments, and industry trends to identify investment opportunities and risks. 4. Investment Thesis: Develop investment theses and hypotheses based on market research and analysis. Articulate investment recommendations and present findings to senior management and investment committee. 5. Deal Execution: Assist in negotiating investment terms, structuring transactions, and conducting legal and financial due diligence. Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of investment transactions. 6. Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies, track key metrics, and provide ongoing support to portfolio management teams. Evaluate follow-on investment opportunities and participate in investment decision-making processes. 7. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industry experts, and other stakeholders in the startup ecosystem. Attend industry events, networking sessions, and startup pitch events to build a strong network and stay connected with key players. 8. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of best practices in early-stage investing, venture capital, and startup ecosystem dynamics. Participate in training programs, workshops, and industry events to enhance skills and knowledge. 9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards related to investment due diligence, valuation, and reporting. 10. Deal Sourcing: Source and evaluate investment opportunities in early-stage technology startups within the ecosystem. 1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred. 2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, corporate development, or startup ecosystem with a focus on early-stage investing. 3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Excel. 4. Deep understanding of startup ecosystem dynamics, technology trends, and business models. 5.
