Synology’s Product Management Team is the primary conduit bridging development, marketing, sales, and others together. We analyze then align the direction of development with the needs of the market. We break down complex problems into steps to drive product development forward. Video surveillance solutions are ubiquitous and vital in maintaining accountability in our society today. They can serve as silent witnesses to a scene, act as a deterrent, and often simply serve as a means to reassure a property owner. Synology has been consistently innovating in the field of video surveillance, leveraging our storage expertise to build robust, feature-rich, and cost-effective solutions that are overseeing countless locations today.    Your role involves a great deal of collaboration between engineering, design, and management teams. As a product manager for surveillance hardware, you will work closely with our engineering team to guide products from conception to launch. You will bridge the technical and business worlds together as you design products that our users love. You will identify and address user requirements, help define a product vision and strategy, and work with engineers to execute those plans. You will: - Define and maintain hardware product specifications for our surveillance products throughout their development and production cycles - Coordinate and monitor new product development status, ensuring that all tasks are done in a timely manner to meet product launch schedules - Collaborate with other development teams to ensure your product works seamlessly within our ecosystem - Find, evaluate, and manage outsourced projects, including vendor briefing, supplier selection, qualification, and price negotiation - Work closely with suppliers, engineering, and testing teams to ensure timely launches, supply continuity, quality consistency, and identify optimization opportunities
